Preventing Candle Tunneling

To prevent candle tunneling, allow the candle to burn long enough for wax to melt evenly to the edges, especially during the first burn.
- Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting, keep the wick centered, and avoid placing candles near drafts.
- Avoid very short or overly long burn sessions.
- If tunneling occurs, trapping heat with foil can help melt leftover wax and restore an even surface.
