Delicious braised tofu that is soft on the inside smothered in a luscious vegetarian oyster sauce with Napa cabbage. One of my favorite ways to enjoy tofu, perfect for dinner or lunch. Made in just one pan or wok!
2 blocks extra firm tofu / tau kwa
Stir fry sauce:
2 tbsp vegetarian stir-fry sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup water
Few dashes of white pepper
1 tbsp cornstarch (optional)
Fry tofu on both sides until golden brown then set aside. Add Napa cabbage and carrot, stir-fry for a min, add in the stir fry sauce, gently mix back in fried tofu and allow it to sink to the bottom so it absorbs the sauce. Braise for 10 minutes and it’s ready to serve. Enjoy!
